The Wern Mynach crowd welcomed the Cymru Alliance side, a regular preseason fixture for a few years now, and what would turn out to be Carl Ryan's first win as new manager.

The first half was a very even affair, with both teams struggling to take control of the game. It wasn't until the 40th minute we saw the deadlock broken, when Jake Parr put the visitors in the lead.

An excellent start to the second half saw the Magpies score 3 goals in a frantic 13 minutes. The first coming from George Sotherns on 47 minutes, a second from Shane Jones on 55 minutes and the third by Paul Lewis on 60 minutes. A solid defensive performance late on saw the boys earn a well deserved win.

After the game Carl posted on Facebook-

"Excellent second half performance against a decent Caersws side, who were obviously depleted in numbers, but still had quality all over the pitch.

Excellent defensive display, midfield were superb second half and great for the strikers to score. We are starting to develop a decent squad with players to the quality of Vid, Adam, Brooksey, young Washy and Inglis on the bench.

Machynlleth away on Wednesday where we will use squad again to give the lads playing time they all need."
