We are now well and truly up and running in the colts section of Barnes. Barnes now have a thriving colts section of 180 registered colts from age 6 upwards. Three coaching sessions run every Sunday morning for the various age groups plus a skills session for more experienced players on Tuesday evenings. Increasingly colts' parents are getting involved in coaching and team management roles which is essential for the section's development.
Barnes run teams of U10, U12 and U14 for boys and girls. All have been involved in fixtures with the U10s and U12s play in leagues. Overall all teams have an impressive records of wins and strong performances in matches against other London and Surrey clubs.

In the older age group we have about 20 juniors playing regularly in the Accidentals and Cosmopolitans with 5 colts playing in higher mens and ladies senior teams. We strive to keep the momentum going on the Development team initiative - having the colts being a feeder into the senior teams at Barnes in the of our club, with the ultimate objective of a Barnes colt reaching the 1st team in the not too distant future!

All in all, the colts section at Barnes continues to go from strength to strength. The team ethos, commitment and pride amongst the colts for playing at Barnes is a pleasure to see.
