Injuries pile up to ridiculous levels.

After last nights 1-1 derby draw at Silsden, Towns management were counting the cost of further injuries. Town took the lead with a Billy Priestley header 20 minutes from time and appeared to be on course for three points until Silsden salvaged a late point.

Town went into the game without long term absentees Robbie Smith (knee), Spencer Jordan (back), and Shaun Clough (cruciate), as well as Mark Threlfall (hamstring), Liam Blades (foot), Ben Gorman (stomach strain), Chris Ridehalgh (hand injury) and Ashley Alderson who is away on his honeymoon. It is thought that only Chris Ridehalgh has any chance of being fit for the visit of Stone Dominoes at the weekend.

Aaron Hollindrake misses the the next three games through suspension, Lewis Jordan is away on holiday and Neil Chapman, Harry Thompson and Liam Garbutt all picked up injuries last night too leaving Town in a serious situation for the weekend.

Ben Hall said, “It is like Holby City and its getting worse. We can forget about Cloughie, Robbie and Spen being fit for a long time, Bambi and Bladesy will be lucky to make Ashton, Ash is in Vegas, Rido smashed his hand up, Ben pulled a muscle in his stomach and to make matters worse Tugger starts his three game ban and Lewis is away on holiday. Harry came off last night with his hamstring, Chips damaged his hand in a collision with their keeper last night and Chappy was touch and go before the game with his groin but he manned up and got out there but it has only made it worse.”

“ I would say that out of all of them Rido and Gabba may be ok, and we have a outside chance with Harry and Chappy – the rest are definatly out.”

“We are putting the feelers out to try and get a loan or two in but it is very difficult and time is against us but we do have a reserve team thankfully so some of them may get a opportunity to show us that they can play at this level.”

On last nights draw Hall felt that Town missed a opportunity to go to the top of the league after being pegged back late in the game. “In the first half we never got going, we neither passed it or pressed but in the second half the tempo was much much better and when we scored we looked as though we could have got another and killed them off but it wasn’t to be. But credit to them, they kept going and they are a very well drilled unit and they will probably feel as though they deserved a point, its frustrating for us have been so close to all three though.”
