Town in Too Tough Boost.
Shaun Clough To Return
Barnoldswick Town have received a massive boost with the news that left back Shaun (Too Tough) Clough has not damaged ligaments in his knee and is set to return to training after an intense physio programme.
Clough visited a private clinic in Liverpool yesterday and was given the green light to step up his preparations for the new season, after fearing the worst after his injury at Runcorn back in April.
It is a massive boost for everybody at the club, and the squad had a light training session followed by a ‘bonding’ session after, in which new recruits Mark Threlfall and Billy Priestley were both present whilst other new recruit Andy King was absent due to a stag do in Magaluf.
Twenty two players were at the session which indicates their commitment given that it was early June and the official pre season is still 10 days away.
