Bosom Friends - Santa Charity Fun Run 2015

Sunday 6th December 2015

Come along and support your local cancer support group ‘Bosom Friends’

300 jolly Santa’s will start from West Craven Sports Centre, the 5k course will meander down on to the canal towpath heading towards Salterforth, returning up Kelbrook Road and through the streets of the town, incorporating Cobden Street, Chapel Street, Wellington Street, Beech Street, Bank Street and Wellhouse Road with the finish line in the Festive Town Square.

REGISTER ONLINE AT:- www.bebosomfriends.org.uk

Remember it is a “Fun Run” so you can run, jog or even walk the course, however, if you do plan to run perhaps it’s time to get some practice in now.

This year you can pick your Santa suits up and registration number before the day, this will be on Friday 4th December between 7.00pm -8.00pm at West Craven High School.

Or come along on the day from 10.00am at West Craven High School and then join in the warm up session in the Hall at 10.45am and the run will commence at 11.00am. The start will be staggered in groups with the runners followed by the joggers then the walkers all starting at the same time.

The finish will be once again in the Festive Town Square where members of your family or friends can join you for a warm drink.

In the meantime, why not help Bosom Friends even further and ask your family, friends and work colleagues to sponsor you for taking part. This can be done easily by setting up your own individual fundraising page by visiting www.bebosomfriends.org.uk and click on the donate tab on the left of the home page which then takes you to the Virgin Money giving page. Your own page can then be set up and linked to Bosom Friends by clicking on ‘start fundraising ‘.

Alternatively you can download a sponsorship form off the Bosom Friends website or if you don’t wish to ask for sponsors, maybe have a cake or book sale at work , a raffle by asking colleagues to donate raffle prizes or even a non-uniform day perhaps.

If every participant raised a minimum sponsorship of £20 that would mean an amazing amount of £6,000 raised by the local community.

Come on, let’s make this year the best Santa Fun Run ever and raise an amazing amount of money for a fantastic local charity

Remember all monies raised goes towards helping local people affected by cancer. By offering emotional and financial support Bosom Friends aim to ensure that everyone affected by cancer doesn’t feel isolated and alone.
