Colin died last Wednesday, the 25th November aged 49, losing his brave fight against a brain tumour diagnosed last year. Colin played for the Colts in 1976 starting as a second row but soon moving to prop. As a former 100 metre champion at Pilton School he proved to be a new breed in the position, very athletic and with good hands. He graduated to the Chiefs and played until the early 1990s. A popular player, Colin played the game in the right spirit, seeming always to have a smile on his face. Later he coached successfully in the junior Section of the club, proving his versatility and desire to give something back to the club and the game. Colin is survived by his wife, Caroline, and their children, Hannah and Thomas.
