Mike Thompson opened the scoring with a great left footed finish into the far corner. Matt Rigby soon scored the second as the Wing Back found himself in the area and slotted the ball away to make it 2-0!

The third came not long after and debutant Leon Knight received the ball at feet, turned the defender and sent a left footed finish into the bottom corner!

Oldham pulled a goal back early in the second half when a cross wasn't dealt with a a header looped in but that was as far as it went before Barnton pushed again and Matt Rigby scored the 4th with a battling run and again left footed buried in the corner. He followed up and completed his hat trick with a weaving run before scoring I'm the near post with a right foot effort!
