Attacking midfielder Thomas will go straight into Manager Andy Burgess' squad at Eccleshall on Wednesday evening after agreeing to join the club from Widnes FC.

Burgess has seen and had Thomas watched in recent weeks, and was impressed by his ability to win games. "He's a talent, of that there is no doubt. I saw him score a fantastic individual goal for Widnes at Litherland and he has a gifted left foot. We've still one or two missing in attacking areas, so James will add to what we can do and I am looking forward to seeing him in a Barnton shirt".

Barnton travel to Eccleshall on Wednesday evening in the NWCFL Division One, 7:45pm kick off.
