About The Rams

Formerly The Roseworthy Rams RUFC the club relocated at the beginning of the 2006 season when funding from Roseworthy College was withdrawn.
Having played in Grand Finals in 2004(4th Div) and 2005(3rd Div) Barossa went through 2006 undefeated beating Brighton in the Grand Final to take out the 3rd Division title.
In 2007 the club fielded two teams for the first time, Reserve Grade and 4th Division with both teams playing in finals.
In 2008 the club took a big step with the introduction of junior rugby in the Barossa Valley. In 2013 we fielded teams in U7, U8, U10, U12 and U14 age groups.
2013 also marked the start of another journey for the Barossa Rams - playing Premier Grade rugby for the first time in the club's history, supported by a Premier Reserve side.
The drive is now on to increase numbers as we push into 2014. The hope is to provide a club for juniors of all ages from U7 to U18 and two strong senior sides.
The club is located at Lyndoch in the famous Barossa Valley region of South Australia.
We have a base of local players boosted by visitors from interstate and overseas who are working in the local area.
