RE: Salford Reds Lottery
Dear Player,Parents, Members
As some of you may or may not be aware we recently held a meeting with Salford City Reds regarding a possible long term fundraising opportunity for our club.
The idea is simple and could bring us some much needed financial stability, you will find enclosed a copy of a recent Reds Golden Bond Lottery result sheet this draw operates 52 weeks a year paying out over £2,000 per week in prize money. The draw costs £1.00 to play (£4.33 monthly via Standing Order) each player receives a membership card bearing seven lucky numbers giving you seven chances to win every prize, the results are advertised each week in the Salford Advertiser and can be sent via email should the player so desire. All prizes are sent out directly each week.
Salford have offered us 40 pence from every £1.00 that is generated for their lottery through our club, therefore we are proposing that we all approach friends, family and work colleagues etc and ask them to join the lottery using the Standing Order forms enclosed. Each of you is being given 5 forms however we do understand some may be able to complete more than others all we ask is that everybody returns something!
Based on our current number of players signed on (600 aprox) if everybody was to complete and return there 5 forms the club would receive over £60,000 from Salford City Reds Lottery and more importantly we would receive this amount every year thereafter for the life of the members without having to do anything else. Even if we only get a bare 600 forms back (1 from each player) this would still generate over £12,000 which would go a long way to helping the club year in year out, but the more the better.
We see this as an exciting opportunity to cement our future financially so I hope you can all please give it your full support if you need any further information (or forms?) please don’t hesitate to contact one of us.
Thanks
The Committee
