Great pictures by the way thank you for sending them.
Now back to the referee how can you say a referee was equal when he send s a player off for a fifty fifty challenge but lets a forearm led elbowed assault on someones throat go .Which would of been a straight red in rugby let alone football .
some awful decisions some just left you wondering why you bother.
Could we have got back into the game after our keeper made a couple of blunders to gift you the lead ,who knows ,but one thing which is definate ,because of an unbelievable decision by the referee we will never find out .
was it right to have three officials from Birmingham officiate the game .
A young lad of 18 reffed a sunday fa cup game at our place the day after and he put the so called senior referee to shame from the day before.Nothing against Rushall fair play to you ,but in my opinion and a lot of other people including a few of your supporters the referee got it wrong big time in all the key decisions he had to make.
Of course it was right to have officials from Birmingham as it is a neutral city.
I appreciate that geography may not be your strong point so please let me spell it out to you:
Barrow is in Leicester
Rushall is in Walsall, part of the Black Country.
Therefore Birmingham is a city from which neither club hails but which still in the Midlands (from where both clubs are from), for reasons of logistics (it would be silly to send officials from Newcastle or Bristol, would it not?).
Brummies and Yamyams (Walsall/ Black Country people) traditionally have a strong rivalry that is not always exactly friendly. As such if there were any bias from Brummie officials (which of course there was not) it would go against a Walsall-based side rather than for it.
Think the West Midlands version of Leicester/ Nottingham or Liverpool/Manchester, Bradford/Leeds, Newcastle/Sunderland etc.
Please stop harping on with this Birmingham thing, you're making yourself look quite silly to a West Midlands audience.
Your rant is unwarranted and you're making yourself look quite silly to anyone who lives in the Midlands or has an ounce of knowledge about football . The officials were representatives of the Birmingham FA, which if you are as knowledgeable as you like to make out, covers a much wider area than just the City. Birmingham FA covers the city itself, plus Warwickshire, the Black Country and of course, Walsall.
I have no idea where the three officials hailed from, but they may well be from Walsall as far as we know, whilst there is just as an equal a chance that they could live in Rugby or Leamington.
In hindsight and given some of the decisions on the day, The FA would have been sensible to send officials from a neutral county such as Derbyshire or Staffordshire.
Oh and you obviously failed geography as well. Barrow Upon Soar is in Leicestershire not Leicester. Your sat nav is about 10 miles out.
For what it's worth, i believe the referee ruined what was looking like an entertaining game. The sending off was harsh and maybe a yellow would have sufficed. However, i doubt this is due to the fact he hails from Birmingham but, more likely, he made a rash and incorrect decision.
Did it alter the game? Well it rather ruined the spectacle which is what we all like to see and with only 10 men Barrow were never going to get back into the game. However, at the time Barrow were already 2-0 down and in all honesty didn't seem likely to overturn a 2 goal deficit - even with 11 men.
As an aside, thoroughly enjoyed the surroundings, atmosphere and hospitality from the home outfit. Would i go again......... most certainly if our paths cross again.
agree i even said to my dad i was with the one with the beard that he didn't deserve a red coming from a yound women that nearly finished her training to be a ref
What is this talk of sat nav? It is the stars that guide us. Barrow is further towards the East than Rushall so by simple deduction this must mean that Leicester is the Holy Land.... give or take a few stars anyway!!

Just for you Stephen. See last photo :)
Actually our "home" FA is Staffordshire
