Barry Town United are pleased to be associated with Bro Radio 98.1FM, a Barry-based community radio station, operated by around 40 volunteers under manager Gareth Sweeney.
Bro Radio is the only station broadcasting live from Barry to its people and keeps listeners entertained and updated with local news, sport, traffic and other information.
Links between club and station stem back almost as far as Bro's launch in 2009, with members of the Bro team covering matches live at Jenner Park, as well as giving club representatives a platform on the air.
While supporters are encouraged to tune into Bro Radio for their latest Town updates, the club also has its own vibrant presence on the matchday PA system.
Visitors to Jenner Park can expect to hear a range of signature tunes before each match, including the introductory strains of The Beatles' 'Get Back', a dance remix of 'Yma O Hyd' upon run-out, and pre-match staples from 'Barry Town' (Steely Dan) to 'A Ton of Love' (Editors) and 'Our House' (Madness)
Other favourites of recent times have included official club anthem 'Fire In My Heart' (Super Furry Animals), as well as 'Crazy Crazy Nights' (KISS) and 'The Final Countdown' (Europe).
