A competitive 2-2 draw at Cwmbran Celtic secured another valuable point for Barry Town this afternoon in Welsh League Division Two.

Gavin Chesterfield's men, in traditional Linnet green, seized the lead as early as the second minute; Jamie Bradford scoring directly from a corner kick to break the deadlock in somewhat surreal fashion.

Defender Ryan Evans then made it 2-0 with only seven minutes played, heading home another of Bradford's corners and giving the Town what appeared to be a comfortable advantage.

However, the Gwent outfit would reduce the arrears through Lewis in the 21st minute; and spirited Celtic completed their comeback on the hour through Cook to set up an evenly-poised final third.

Both sides had chances to go on and win the match; however, each would have to be satisfied with a draw, ahead of the return match between them at Jenner Park next month.

Today's result leaves unbeaten leaders Barry on 58 points with eight league fixtures remaining and five of them at home.

Barry: Bradley, Frowen, Morgan, Cosslett, Evans, Saddler (c), Howarth, Bradford, Nagi, Greening, Dixon. Subs: Blatchford (for Bradford), Briers, Baldock (for Dixon), Hutson (for Howarth), Owens.
