We are happy to announce that the club will be a part of the upcoming Non-League Day; a nationwide event held annually during the international break.

Designed to encourage fans of professional clubs to check out their local side, Non-League Day has evolved into a widespread celebration of the beautiful game at its purest.

With September's international qualifiers now played on Friday evenings, the first Saturday of the month has become something of a desert for the domestic football enthusiast; with the Premiership and Championship calendar put on hold.

Non-League Day aims to be the oasis, with league clubs like Cardiff City encouraging their supporters in pursuit of a football fix to back the amateur clubs on their doorstep.

A crowd of 200+ attended on last season's Non-League Day, as Barry entertained AFC Llwydcoed, with Cardiff promoting the match on their Twitter feed and consequently generating publicity for the fixture on the Sky Sports website.

We look forward to welcoming Bluebirds fans back to Jenner Park once more this year, as well as supporters of a host of other Football League and Premiership outfits.

More information on Non-League Day in Barry will be announced in the coming weeks, ahead of the match against Risca United (2.30pm kick-off).

This year's Non-League Day official charity partner is Prostate Cancer UK, whose website can be found here.
