The players, staff and supporters of Barry Town would like to thank Dale Howarth for all his efforts as he leaves us to travel Australia.

Debuting in the 2012-13 season and staying loyal to the club through its most difficult days, the popular winger made 94 competitive appearances in Barry colours, scoring 21 goals in the process.

With an energy and character that soon made him a favourite of the Barry faithful, Dale was a goalscorer for the club in all three divisions of the Welsh League and in both Welsh Cup and League Cup competition.

Among his most important strikes were a Welsh Cup winner against Taffs Well in October 2013 and the vital second that helped clinch the Welsh League Division Three championship in May 2014.

The youngster also added his name to the list of Barry hat-trick scorers, with a three-goal blitz against Chepstow Town in November.

With two league titles and a Welsh Cup semi-final appearance to his credit, we hope to see Dale at Jenner Park again in the not-too-distant future and wish him all the very best for his upcoming adventure.
