1 week ago By Barry Town Utd Ladies FC

Ffion Spence, Zoe Smith and Olivia Barnett recently represented Wales in two friendly matches against Scotland.

“"It's fantastic to see more of our junior players coming through onto the international stage. We have seen many of our players represent the Wales junior national teams over the last 3 years and Ffion and Zoe both have bright futures in the game.” Luke Williams (Chairman)

Three of our Under 15 stars, Ffion Spence, Zoe Smith and Olivia Barnett represented the Wales National U15 Team at the weekend in two friendly international fixtures against Scotland held in North Wales.

Wales were defeated 3-1 and 3-0 in both fixtures but both matches were a lot tighter than the scoreline suggests with Wales not taking their chances in both fixtures.

The weekend was a great experience for both the Barry Town players who are both aiming to be part of the Home Nations Tournament Squad that will take place in the coming months.

Well done to all the girls! The club are very proud of you.

Club Chairman, Luke Williams commented "It's fantastic to see more of our junior players coming through onto the international stage. We have seen many of our players represent the Wales junior national teams over the last 3 years and Ffion, Zoe and Olivia all both have bright futures in the game. They have worked very hard and have fully deserved these opportunities.
