No explaination needed. These guys are the kiddies. Here are some names Matt Knighton, Martyn Bragg, Matt Rankin, Sam Steer (his best position!), Dale Dickson, Mark "taffy" Hughes, Simon Webb and Wayne Millard.
Please let us know your thoughts.

We have always had good scrum halfs & if u ask this again in perhaps 5 years time then Sam Steer will probably & correctly get everyone's vote but at the moment I can't vote for anyone but everyone's favourite Welshman !!! Mr Mark Hughes, Taff was without a doubt the most physical, confident & aggressive scrum half I've seen with a definite eye for the line. And to be fair he was also pretty reliable for a drink after !

All you had to say was confident and aggressive and I would have known you were referring to Taff

Taff informed me last Saturday at the Hornets game that if i didn't vote for him at 9 he would never speak to me again !! with this in mind i should go for swebby !
Sammy Roberts was scrum half when i started and was quality, I agree 100% with Stevies comments about Sam, Wayne at his best was probably in that bracket as well.
But on balance, Saturday night drinks without that wells (north somerset) accent just wouldn't be the same, so for me, Taff the wells dragon gets it x

Scraggy, Rankin & Tim Edwards all very good scrum half for Barts. Knighton good scrum half xxxx drinker. And a little personal mention for dale who I really enjoyed playing with in my later years.I haven't mentioned Wayne yet as I always believed it was his best position. But he never let us down in any of the many positions he played. Sam has done a great Job and I think he has only played there for the team. This makes him an even greater player for the club.
But for me (no surprises I guess) me old mate Taff by a mile

I agree with all about Taff, but have to say the most rounded and technical 9 I have played with was Tom Jenkins that said he only played a handful of games for us. Sam is fantastic at 9 but for me is an out and out 7 (that's why he doesn't kick the ball) Martyn Bragg very good distribution at 9 and quick from a standing start, Matt Knighton has the best box kick in the combination, Simon Webb could hand off anyone and showed me the ropes as a young un (how to be nasty without being caught)

This is hard because of the difference in eras and style of rugby....... but if you are going on form, spirit and games played it has to be Taff, plus only Adam May would vote for himself!!

He currently lloks like the Welsh man has the vote. I haven't checked but it currently looks like taff is at 9 with pruet 10. Cootes and Grey in the centre. Joe and Taylor on the wings and Tim Kelly full back. Still waiting on a lot of peoples views!

But I doubt you've ever seen him play in his prime Joe. I played with Taffy once, hopefully he won't mind me saying this but he had lost some of his electric pace. And 37 years spent smoking lamberts had taking their toll on his lungs a bit. But I have never played with a player with such a combination of strength, skill and aggression. Its fair to say that young Sam is the closest. Taffy could step, pass of both hands, read the game, tackle, inluence the ref and kick. He is also a fair size for a scrum half. And lets not forget his dummy. He threw one in the game, and poor Mark Pruet thought he had the ball. The opposition thought the same and smashed Pruet into touch. Taffy came out smelling of roses as he scampered down the field unoppossed.
