Barton Town Old Boys were formed in 1995 after a merger of two of the most established clubs in Barton upon Humber; Barton Town FC and Barton Old Boys FC.

Since then the club has seen a meteoric rise up the leagues from playing at a local level to now competing at Step 5 of the Non League Pyramid. To put this into perspective, the club are 5 promotions from the Football League.
