With the start to the season we had, i think we have done bloody well to get where we are now. 2 cup finals, still in the league cup(if it ever gets played at Albion Sports) and mid table. But i would like to see us with a top 6 finish and at least the Presidents cup winners, anything more would be a bonus in my eyes. |

The Old Boys have done well in their first season in the premier division, finishing mid table and playing in two cup finals following promotion can't be bad. |

just to reassure all our supporters that dave, sid and myself are already planning for next season.the first two friendlies have been arranged which pete has posted and we are finalising dates for the others.at this time of year there is always a merry go round regarding players but we are happy to say all players we have asked to sign for next season have indicated they will be doing and we have and will continue to look at bringing in some new faces to freshen up the squad, there will always be players leave clubs at the end of the season but we are happy in that our best players will form the core of the squad for next year.we have enjoyed a good season but as always want to better ourselves next year and tex really should concern himself with what's happening at his club as his support will be much more needed there next season.thank you for your support as ever and we will see you at the presentation night and pre season.thanks,mally. My support of Winterton terminated when Sennett got the shove, on the 3rd,and your chief executive officer, Paul Friskney resigns on the 4th to take up the post of manager at Winterton,"It was no secret" then it all goes tits up, with him now returning to Barton on the 7th, If there is any good ,in what has happened in the last few days, It is this, Winterton have shot themselves in the foot, Not Barton, now they"Winterton" will have to advertise for a local manager, and local players to represent them, (You of course will be aware that any player of the ability to play NCEL standard, have already been snapped up.) because theres no budget for 2012/13 season, however had they "Winterton",not got greedy,I know for a fact that Richard & Mark would have worked on a shoe string to help the club out, They are football people, people who love the game, and would have been able to hold on to the majority of the best players for little or no reward. And just for you Mr Eric Johnson, the web site was not availible at Winterton to the forum members ,because the administrator took it off, that way the members could not discuss anything. I thought that was what a Forum was for. My post was to make your supporters aware of the frailties of the game ,and the people in and around it. My personal views are that a club have the right to do what they precieve to be best for that club, but I feel very satisfied ,that on this occasion the underhand dealing was to backfire on the Winterton board. I have a great respect for the Swans, a team I nearly signed for in years passed, and if my comments have offended, then I sincerly appologise.May I finally wish you all a successful 2012/13 season. |
