In front of nearly 100 spectators, an encouraging turnout on a cold day, Lincolnshire Under 18's had to be content with a point against their counterparts from Liverpool.
2-1 up at the break, with goals by Archie Massen and James Read sandwiching an equaliser from Charles Kelly and with their opponents down to 10 men, it seemed that the hosts would go on to win comfortably, but a superb second half performance by Liverpool keeper, David Codwell kept his side in with a shout.
And it paid off in the 85th minute when Liverpool equalised through substitute, Christian Langos.
Town host Lincolnshire again on Saturday, 18th February when North Riding Under 18's are the visitors to The Euronics Ground. Once again, the game kicks off at 2pm and admission is free.
