The Barwell manager addresses everyone connected with the club as the season draws to a close.

Hi all,

Jimmy Ginnelly here. I would like to take this opportunity to say a massive thank you to every one of you at Barwell Football Club. From the chairman and his wife Julie to the media guy Luke for some fantastic interviews throughout the season.

I feel like I've been backed to the hilt by the chairman, you supporters and my backroom staff. I'd like to thank Guy Hadland (he's my real backbone) and Tom Bates for his clever way of coaching and working the players the way he does.

To you supporters, you've been class again and you always back us, even if we have a tough day at the office. A lot of you say well done even when we LOSE! I find that a bit baffling because I wouldn't expect that word for losing. That just proves how loyal you are to your team.

You physios have worked as hard as the players this season, I couldn't have done it without you guys!

The food from Lorna and Karl has been top draw, and Shirley has put up with murder again from me and Guy and come through another tough year unscathed haha (she knows!).

Now to one amazing man and his team of helpers, Dave Hubbard. He's kept that pitch looking fantastic all season in what I'd call one of the wettest winters on record. I applaud you and your team Dave, hats off to you sir.

I'd like to thank Viv and Terry for for driving the lads around the north of the country to get to games in the minibus. That's a tough ask when you see some of the players he has to put up with, haha!

Now to the guys that wash that kit and keep the changing rooms clean and tidy. Again, I thank you very much. It must have been tough this season with the weather, but once again you've managed it!

What can we say about Bruce Grobbelaar (Colin Burton), he knows how to back his 'keeper. His input is so amazing it simply kills me, now that's what you call a loyal man!

Last but not least, I'd like to say a massive thank you to my PLAYERS, who the season is really all about. You've done the club proud again, taking this little village team into the top 10 of the Northern Premier League. Well done boys!

Thank you all and see you at presentation night,

Jimmy Ginnelly.
