Ant Carney has made the move from Coalville Town and has become a Barwell player.

Carney was a fans’ favourite at Owen Street and will be a great asset up front for the Canaries.

Moving in the other direction is Alex Dean who is to be reunited with his old colleagues at Coalville.

Ant will link up with his new colleagues after signing at the weekend and will be in the squad for the match against Rushall Olympic.

Also returning to active duty will be Jamie Hood who returns after suspension, Kieron Brehon will be available as will Jon Stevenson who is returning after a spell in the United States.

Another player joining, as he has at last been granted international clearance, is Brendan Murphy. Brendan is a young attacking midfielder who, up till now, has plied his trade at Kentucky University in the States.

Jimmy Ginnelly is likely to ring the changes as he attempts to revitalise a Barwell side that have not made the best start to the season but with the majority of his players now available, the manager is looking forward to better things in the weeks to come.
