Canaries Striker Called Up For International Duty

3 months ago By Luke Pawley

Barwell forward Spencer Weir-Daley has received an international call-up to the Montserrat national team.

The 32-year-old is in the Montserrat squad to face El Salvador in the CONCACAF Nations League this Sunday (September 9).

As a result, he will miss our FA Cup fixture against Buxton, which will take place on Saturday September 8 at the UK Flooring Direct Stadium. The game will kick-off at 3pm.

Fellow Canaries striker Massiah McDonald also received an initial call-up from the Montserrat boss, but has recently withdrawn from the squad. He remains in contention to face Buxton on Saturday.

In other team news, we welcome the return of Eddy Nisevic on Saturday, following his one-match suspension. However, we will be without Jean-Ruben Desrosiers, who was sent off during our 2-1 defeat to Royston Town.
