Canaries travel to Hednesford Town this Saturday for only their second fixture of the month.

Barwell form

Jimmy Ginnelly's side are on a difficult run of form, with their last victory in the league coming at home to Shaw Lane on 7th October.

Barwell's last two games, away at Ashton United and Buxton, are the only two league games they have played following the last game against Hednesford Town (see below). Both finished 1-1 with Matt Stenson and Eddy Nisevic scoring the goals.

Hednesford form

This weekend's host have won their last four games (2 league, 2 cup). Their last 2 league victories came at home to Stalybridge Celtic and Farsley Celtic, both by a 2-1 scoreline.

Last time out

The two sides faced each other at Kirkby Road on 4th November, with the game ending 1-1. Matt Stenson turned his defender inside-out and curled the ball into the net on 81 minutes to give his side the lead. However, just minutes later, Hednesford's Joe Fitzpatrick hit a long-range effort which bent inside Liam Castle's left-hand post for an equaliser.

Key players

Matt Stenson, Barwell's top scorer with 6 so far this term, will look to add to his tally with another impressive display.

Meanwhile, the Canaries should be boosted by the returns of Nigel Julien and Declan Towers - who were both unavailable last time out against Buxton. The midfield duo's energy and running might just re-energise the Barwell boys.

For the home side, Hednesford danger man Joe Fitzpatrick will be looking to score another goal against Barwell, as he did less than a month ago.

Former Nuneaton striker Danny Glover, who has also turned out for the likes of Port Vale, Worcester City and AFC Telford United; will also pose a threat to the Barwell back four. Glover has scored 7 goals this season.
