Tomkinson praises forward line after Grantham Town draw

Alex Tomkinson paid tribute to frontmen Callum Ball and Luke Barlone after Barwell's 2-2 draw with Grantham Town.

The strikeforce was heavily involved throughout the match- particularly in the first-half- with both men contributing towards the goals.

Ball opened the scoring within the first two minutes, while Barlone provided the cross for Liam Kay's header after half-time.

Tomkinson said: "The lads know how difficult those two are to play against when they're in form.

"Callum got a goal and Luke set up the other with a good cross to put us ahead again.

"There's a relief around the pitch because, not only do they take chances, but they create them for others as well.

"The early goal helped us settle into the game, so you have to credit Callum for giving us the lead".
