Basford are delighted to report the signings of offensive players Francis Green and Ryan Whitehurst this weekend.

With Basford labouring in the offensive 3rd of the pitch then these two excellent signings come at just the right time for United.Francis Green is an experienced striker who can also operate in midfield, & has had a high calibre career. Playing over 200 pro games and then at a string of very good semi professional clubs this represents a signing of intent, The player signs from Corby Town.
Ryan Whitehurst is another very good signing of a young striker with bags of potential. Whitehurst played last season at Carlton Town at Evo Stik level so is well capable of making a significant impact.

Manager Martin Carruthers commenting stated " Delighted to acquire the services of experienced Franny Green, still got plenty to offer & a real coup for the club. Can score goals, but will also be creative & provide more opportunities & chances to win games. Ryan is a lad we had at Arnold who did really well for us & another who once fit will be a great addition to the squad."

The management team will not rule out further new signings at this stage as United look to get the season back on course and add competition for places.

Both players will be included in tomorrow nights squad for the league game at home to Garforth Town FC Greenwich Avenue 7.45pm ko.
