The game started badly for Basildon who didn't seem to be awake in the first part of the game. Clacton using there pace and strength in the back row scored two break away tries in the first 10 minuets of the game and converted both.
Basildon then got a try back through prop Ben Brown and converted by Callum Ainslie but Clacton replied straight away through there backs to score again.
Basildon replied once more through scrum half Sam Collins converted again only for Clacton to immediatly score again.At half time it was Clacton 29 Basildon 14.
The second half was a competely different game as Basildons forwards came to life and at one point pushed the Clacton forwards from there try line to the Clacton 22.
Basildons forwards were on fire and there effort led to two tries from Kyle Mclaughlin one converted by Callum Ainslie.
Clacton were under pressure and gave away a penalty under there posts Callum Ainslie stepped up and slotted home. Clacton were giving there all but the Basildon forwards were not having any of it.
Sam Collins broke from a ruck to score the final try. Clacton pressed but Basildon held strong to finish the game 34 -- 29 up.
Man of the match was split between two players and was given to Captain Luke TeeBoon for the forwards and for the backs Joseph Barford who made some brilliant tackles.
