BDHC Code of Conduct. Match Days - Bring both kits to away games - Adherence to meet times is crucial, if you are unable to make the meet time let the captain or vice-captain know. - Earn the respect of the umpires and other teams. No back-chat. - No Hangovers. - 100% support of each other on the pitch - Consistent levels of effort across the team on the pitch. - Endeavour to stay for a drink after games. The Club - Make an effort to be a part of the club, and support other teams / youth set up (get to know the club). - When possible stay on to watch other teams play. - Get involved in Team social events as well as club social events. Objectives / Aspirations / Expectations - Play as a team - ENJOY the season. - Play to win every game - Play in the style we want to play going forward and in higher leagues. - Trust in team mates / formation / tactics, and stick to them. Also communicate to captain / vice-captain ideas around the above. - No suspensions due to yellow cards all season. - Good communication between captains / vice-captains and the squad. - Be a “liked” team within the league.

BDHC Equity Policy
BDHC Sport Equity Policy This club is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and adopts the following Sport England definition of sports equity: Sports equity is about fairness in sport, equality of access, recognising inequalities and taking steps to address them. It is about changing the culture and structure of sport to ensure it becomes equally accessible to everyone in society. The club respects the rights, dignity and worth of every person and will treat everyone equally within the context of their sport, regardless of age, ability, gender, race, ethnicity, religious belief, sexuality or social/economic status. The club is committed to everyone having the right to enjoy their sport in an environment free from threat of intimidation, harassment and abuse. All club members have a responsibility to oppose discriminatory behaviour and promote equality of opportunity. The club will deal with any incidence of discriminatory behaviour seriously, according to club disciplinary procedures.
Junior Training
Training sessions take place each Saturday, Sept – July at the Deepings astro pitch from 9 – 10.30am and cost £3 per session with discount for siblings. Training for all adults and any young players looking to play league hockey takes place on Monday evenings during the playing season Sept-April, 6.45 – 9pm. Cost £3. We welcome parents to all training and competitions and value your support. We are keen to try and involve parents in the club at all times. Below is some information about training times and dates, and details regarding travel arrangements, kit and club registration.
