Having been well beaten by this side the first week of the season the dragons were keen to prove a much stiffer test. Aware of the threat Bourne Deeping were disciplined and determined despite the pressure they were under. The home team found it difficult to retain possession in attacking areas but Louth found no way through and it remained goalless at the break. With a little reshuffle Bourne Deeping were able to pose more of an attacking threat in the second half and were it not for the frozen final 10 yards they may have more reward. It was Louth who opened the scoring, their forward stealing in at the back post. The Dragons stuck to their task and Richard Baker found Gareth Evison who levelled. In the dying moments Louth restored their lead, an enormous aerial into the D, one bounce and a perfect half volley to deny the Dragons any reward. BDHC 4th XI go into the Christmas break having tested the very best teams in division 5nw
