RTB Steelers Mini/Junior RFC open their campaign on Sunday 6th September with the first of a series of 'On the road' games at Beaufort RFC. The scheduled opponents for the day are Dowlais MJRFC and first kick off 10:30 AM. The intention of the day is to raise awareness of rugby to children within our area, increase participation and encourage enjoyment of our great game. The RTB club has a long tradition of rugby development and welcomes players of all abilities (boys and girls) between 6 and 13 years of age, newcomers are welcome to come along to Beaufort this sunday to sample the atmosphere, enjoy the fun and hopefully feel they can participate with our club, along with the current players who represent the club.
As part of the day, we are having a bouncy castle and a 'Pass through the mouth (Huw Lewis?)' competition. RTB Steelers would like to thank Beaufort RFC for the hospitality offered for this first 'On the road' venture and Carno Car Sales for helping to sponsor a 'Bouncy Castle'.
