Christy Jordan Memorial Festival Thank You's & Brain Tumour Charity Fundraising

Fantastic £6,100 raised for the Brain Tumour Charity over two weekends 11 March and 29 April 2018.

On behalf of the Jordan family, The Brain Tumour Charity and Beccehamian Rugby Club, could we please extend our considerable thanks to all who attended, supported, volunteered, contributed and so generously financially donated a quite outstanding £6,100 to the Brain Tumour Charity over the inaugural Christy Jordan memorial festival weekends on 11 March (raised £3,500) and 29 April 2018 (raised £2,600) for age groups Under 7s to Under 11s.

Brain Tumour Charity
The Jordan family and extended army of family, friends including from school and the church and volunteers fundraising over both days. Fundraising £6,100 in total which has been added to the dedicated CJ “Just Giving” page.

The extended Rugby Family of Clubs:
Beccehamians, Beckenham, Bromley, Dartfordians, Old Dunstonians, Edenbridge, Gravesend, Mid Whitgiftians, Old Colfeians, Old Whitgiftians, Parkhouse, Sevenoaks, Sidcup, Warlingham and Westcombe Park. Please pass onto all club family friends, children and coaches who contributed firstly by attending, observing the minutes applause with the utmost respect, and so generously contributing and donating so much to the charity.

Particular thanks reserved for the Beccs U10s age group for brilliantly pulling the spring festivals all together, and expertly creating the great environment for everyone’s enjoyment, liaising with multitude of suppliers, partners and agencies required to run these festivals. Thank you also to the many many Beccs volunteers who kindly gave their time , on Mothers’s day 11 March in particular, covering the many essential tasks that enable the festival to happen. It’s a huge task and undertaking, thank you all.

Balloonese
Simon and Joanne Gardner, Beccs Under 9s parents. Who very kindly personally donated and supplied all of the balloons, which were released following the minute’s applause.

Be Rugby Magazine
Most generously donating 400 copies of their magazine free of charge, which were distributed to the kids attending.

Ram Rugby
Partners Ram Rugby, for their support with the festivals, sponsoring and supplying brand new and commissioned match balls, which were used for all matches. The balls will be used at future memorial festivals, for the benefit of all the players and as a fitting tribute to him.

Rugby Touchline
For the touching article published in the week leading upto the festival, both online and hard copy magazine to all clubs raising awareness for the charity and the festival itself.

Supreme Engraving
Martin Worrow, for kindly sponsoring, and supplying free of charge, a fantastic memorial plaque, which will be displayed in the club house.

St Johns Ambulance and MPS West Wickham Police
As usual for providing first class, first aid and community police support at the festival on 11 March.
