I am a physiotherapist registered with the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP Member No 085649) and the Health Professions Council (HPC Member No PH93704) which means I am fully insured to practise as a physiotherapist and Clinical Pilates Instructor. I am also qualified in acupuncture and advanced emergency pitch-side first aid.
In addition to working for Beccles RUFC I work for Norwich City Football Club Academy and for the NHS as a senior musculoskeletal physiotherapist.
I have a degree in genetics from the University of London and a PhD in molecular biology from the University of Cambridge. I obtained my Master of Science Degree in Physiotherapy from the University of East Anglia.
As Beccles RUFC Physio I will be covering pitch-side first aid for the first team at home and away games.
I will also be running a clinic night every Thurs 7-9pm from the rugby club treatment room.
Clinic guidelines are as follows
-Clinic night is Thursday 7.00pm until 9.00pm
-Clinic will be run from Beccles RUFC treatment room
-Treatment is available to all Beccles players, including the ladies team, but please be aware that priority will be given to first team players.
-Any first team member who does not finish a match due to injury is highly recommended to book a half hour appointment on the following Thursday.
-All appointments need to be confirmed with Avril via text or a call to 07584327636 before clinic starts on Thursday.
-Treatment slots will be 30 minutes in length.
-Please don’t expect to be assessed or treated if you haven’t arranged an appointment with me.
