New Players Welcome
New team take charge at Beccles Ladies
Beccles Ladies rugby team have elected a new Club Ladies Captain and Vice Captain.
Georgina Carpenter (pictured left) has taken over as the Ladies Captain with Heather mason acting as Vice Captain.
Georgina plays as hooker for the club and has represented Eastern Counties at both U15’s and U18’s age levels. She brings a wealth of playing experience and strong leadership qualities, which will be essential as the team works towards league status.
Heather plays as a utility back and has been with the club for a number of years, and has a fantastic enthusiasm for the game. Last season Heather made it to the Norfolk County trials.
The Ladies section are in the middle of a recruiting program and are interested to hear from anyone who either plays or would like to try the game, there is no upper or lower age limit, as Beccles Rugby Club have fully integrated women into the club so there is a player pathway from 6 years old through to senior level.
Training is on Thursday evenings.
