Beckenham opened their 2010-11 league campaign with an emphatic nine try victory against Old Caterhamian Ladies at Balmoral Avenue.
The home side got into an early lead as kirsty long took advantage of some good handling to register the opening score, Skipper Harriet Bold adding the extras.

Shortly after, Lynne Dawber picked up from the base of the scrum and made deep inroads into the visitors half, the forwards secured possession and Lotte Doyle took the ball on to score an unconverted try.
Lucy Checksfield, finished off another flowing move under the posts to score and give Bold another simple conversion. Lynne Dawber capped off a fine display with a great score and then Bold took matters into her own hands to register the fifth try, with the conversion taking the score to 31 to 0. Lotte Doyle added her second try of the game to take the halftime score 36 to 0 and the home side were starting to look comfortable.

The visitors had other ideas and secured a fine converted try before the home side took over proceedings again. Checksfield and Long added their second touchdown of the day to add to one from Julia Killick and a conversion from Bold to secure the league points. .
Old Caterhamians managed to score another try to leave the final score at 53 to 12 and confirm a great start to the league for the Beckenham girls.
