Membership give go ahead to proposed re-housing of Club / Election of Officers
The Membership of Beddau RFC yesterday voted unaminously to allow the Committee of the Club to work towards the building of a new Club.
A good gathering of the membership asked several questions on the matter to a meeting chaired by Club President Tony Goold.
The Membership will be up dated on any progress made on the movement of the Club over the next few months and it was agreed and noted that all decisions had to go through the membership than the Committee or New Clubhouse sub-committee if and when elected.
The news is a boost for the Club and in particular the Community who badly needs a new facility.
The below were elected as officers of Beddau RFC for 2012/13-
President - Mr Tony Goold
Chairman - Mr Keri Jones
Vice Chairman - Ian Williams
Treasurer - Gareth Jenkins
Secretary - Jamie Willis
Rugby / Fixtures Officer - Mal Davies
General Committee-
Mrs Teresa Jenkins
Grant Blake
Riaz Majohti
Glen Slater
The finance and official AGM will now take place in early September when the officers have returned from holidays.
It is noted that it will possibly be both Jamie Willis and Gareth Jenkins final term as officers of the Club and it will be discussed at the forthcoming AGM of an early election of officers for 2013/14 to allow a smooth hand over.
