Bedfont took the lead with a classic header from George ‘The Boris’ Morris making the score 1-0 to Bedfont.
It was a fast paced game and it was anyone’s for the taking. Hanworth played some good football and when their front man went on the run it was him against our keeper, subsequently taking the score to 1 -1.
As half time approached Hanworth went on the run once again and found the back of the Bedfont net, taking them into a 2-1 lead.
With both teams trying to take control of the match the supporter’s must have thought they were watching Wimbledon moving their heads from left to right. Bedfont then saw their chance and little Samuel Williams made a run for it and found the back of the Hanworth net, taking it to 2-2.
With only 10 minutes left to play Hanworth scored once more but in doing so took down the Bedfont keeper, with George Woodbridge
being carried off with a knee injury.
Stand in goal keeper Charlie Reader
took over the rains but it was a classic shot that flew wide and into the back of net. With the final whistle blowing making it a 4-2 win to Hanworth.
Man of match was awarded to Jamal Arowosekila
for his outstanding contribution to the game.
An unfortunate defeat for Bedfont.
Onwards and upwards.
