Chris Bush gave AFC Wimbledon a first half lead on 18 minutes when his shot squirmed into the bottom left corner despite Gary Ross getting a reactive hand to it. Gabby Odunaike gave 'The Peacocks' a deserved equaliser on 27 minutes when he and Sol Pinnock isolated an away defender for Odunaike to fire past Jack Turner. The scored remained deadlocked at 1-1 for the remainder of the game, Reggie Savage going closest for the hosts when his volley hit the outside of the post late on.
There was a brief cameo for former 'Dons' legend Kevin Cooper, this time in a BTFC shirt adding a nice touch to the occasion.
Town's first three penalty takers each failed to score and despite Ross saving two and Arafat Kabuye and Wayne O'Sullivan hitting the net Town eventually lost our 2-3.
There were many fine performances on the night but the man of the match goes to Tommy Brewer who seemed everywhere on the pitch.
