It was a cold and cloudy start but thankfully very little wind but this didn’t put off 25 boys that came to play. Dunstable had been struggling with numbers this season and unfortunately could only supply one team so we split the boys into three teams to create enough for a round robin group.

Our teams consisted of:

Bedford 1: Scott C, Harry W-E, Luke R, Aidan W-J, Harley M, Bode W & Jack S.

Bedford 2: Sky O, Jack W, Aaron S, James W-E, Thomas P, Joshua H, Alex E, William R & Joel C.

Bedford 3: Tomas S, Aaron B, Elliott C, Nathanael L, Harry M, Joshua P, Karl V, Robert P & Kyran H.

Bedford 1 were the first team to play Dunstable and dominated the game from the whistle and won the game 9-3. Tries came from Aiden, Harry and Luke each getting two tries with Harley, Ben and Jack each getting a solo try.

Bedford 2 and 3 then played each other with a closely fought battle which eventually went Bedford 2’s way with a 3-1 win. Bedford 2’s try scorers were James W-E, Thomas P & Jack W and Arran B got the only try for Bedford 3.

Dunstable then played Bedford 3 and put up a good fight but were eventually outplayed to lose to Bedford, 6-3. Bedford’s try scorers were Robert P and Elliott C scoring two a piece, with Arran B and Joshua P getting a score each.

Bedford 1 & 2 then played each other which produced an extremely tight affair with Bedford 1 edging the victory with 2 tries to nil. Luke R and James W-E were the try scorers for Bedford 1.

The final game of the day was Dunstable playing Bedford 2 which unfortunately went against Dunstable again with the final score ending in Bedford 2’s favour, 8-3. Bedford scorers were James W-E, with 3, Jack W with 2 and Joel C, Joshua H and Thomas P getting one try a piece.

By the end of the morning the sun had come out and warmed up the boys who had a dominate morning against Dunstable with each team beating their hosts.
