Tigers produce stunning come back to beat Kings Lynn Black Knights

The Tigers returned to wining ways on Saturday as they fought back from a 20 points to 10 deficeit with 15 miutes left on the clock to win 20-30 away to Kings Lynn.

The two sides shared four first half tries in a 10-10 stalemate at the interval. Lee Walker gave the Tigers the lead, spotting a gap to touch down under the posts. Kings Lynn matched the score and took the lead with two tries of their own before Kev Scales finished a sweeping move before fightig his way over to stretch out and touch down in the corner.

The Tigers struggled in the opening stages of the second half and were punished to the tune of two further scores by the west Norfolk side who were begining to frustrate and suffocate the Tigers.

Realising that the game was slipping away, Coachig unit Sam Richbell and Rob Ashton made some drastic changes and rejigged the side. It seemed to be the remedy that the Tigers needed and the new arrangment spawned a four try resurgence. Richbell linked well with Lee Walker to throw the ball around which bega to stretch the Kings lynn defence and the skill and experience of returning Gary Flook sured up the forwards. Luke Doaldson continued to impress and push the Tigers further up field with some sintilating running efforts.

Lee Walker kick started the comeback with his second try of the game shortly followed by a try for Rob Ashton who then latched onto a barnstorming Darren Pickard run to set Luke Donaldson up for a third try in quick succession.

Tom Faulkner completed the scoring and wrapped up an amazing come back after pouncing on a loose ball in the in goal area to score his first try for the club.

Ashton and Richbell know that current performances have to be improved on in order to challenge for the Title at the end of the season but with player like Paul Ryder, Gary Flook ad Richy Sinclair all returning to the squad in june the future is looking bright.

The Tigers have a week off this Saturday as they've drawn a Bye in the regional trophy knockout competition. They will be concentrating on launching their second team which is not only a great way for new players to come and try out the game but will also serve to expand and strengthen the squad.
