Gyasi shines on the South Coast

3 months ago By Roger Worsley

Michael scores only goal of the game at Southampton for Cardiff City U23.

Young Bedford Town starlet, Michael Gyasi, turned 18 last Saturday, was watched by a Cardiff City scout on Tuesday night, as the Eagles took on Luton Town in the Beds Senior Cup Semi-Final.
The Eagles manager, Jon Taylor said, "Obviously Michael acquitted himself very well, and proved what a handful he can be at this level, and against a strong Luton Town side that carried first team players as well as fringe and youth players. Although Luton had a good amount of possession, both David Moli and young Michael defended 'from the front' very well, and on the counter attack we proved what an exciting team we can be going forward.
The 2nd half we had the better chances, and despite what their manager said in the local press, we were the better side, but you cannot switch off from a set piece at the end of the game, especially in stoppage time."
