We are pleased to announce the signing of Tony Mendy from Evo-Stik Southern Premier South side Beaconsfield Town.
25 year old, Tony has scored 7 goals in 18 appearances for Beaconsfield already this season, and bagged 10 goals in 10 appearances when he joined late last season.
If we progress in the FA Trophy, Tony will be cup-tied, but should be included in the squad for Saturday's visit to Sutton Coldfield Town.

In conversation with bedfordeagles.net Jon Taylor had this to say.
I feel that this is a great signing for the club as there has been some serious interest in Tony from clubs in the Vanarama South, so I am delighted to announce that we have now got the player’s signature. Bringing a player of Tony’s calibre and quality in to the Squad just really proves the direction in which the Club is wanting go in.

He will bring an extra dimension to our forward line and and can play in any position up top and with his technical ability, power and pace I know that Tony will prove to be a handful to any defender at this level.

At 25 years old the lad is only just coming in to his prime, and he proved to be a regular goal scorer at Step 3 and 4. I am very excited to bring in a player of his magnitude and I am confident that Tony will regularly get on the scoresheet for us, to help us stay in contention at the top of the League.
