We are pleased to announce, tonight, the signings of Alex Cathline and Joe Steele.
Talking to bedfordeagles.net, manager, Jon Taylor had this to say about Alex.
’I am very pleased that we have completed the signing of Alex Cathline, who is a very important piece of our jigsaw in going forward. It is time for us to concentrate and try to provide that extra push to get into the top 5 and be in contention. Alex will give us a different option up front with his 6’3’ height. He will add pace, strength and directness, and he is also well known for his controlled ‘hold up play’, as well as being a handful for defenders in the air, and I am sure it won’t take Alex long to get on the scoresheet.’
Alex has signed from Beaconsfield Town and has previous experience with Chesham United, Welling United and Enfield Town. As a youngster, he completed a 2-year scholarship at Stevenage FC.

Assistant Manager, Nathan Abbey has this to say about Joe Steele.
I am delighted to announce the signing of Joe Steele: a young, commanding centre back. A former youth player with MK Dons, Joe just missed out on the chance to turn pro. Joe played as an 18 year old at Arlesey Town, in the Southern League Premier Divison, scooping the player and players player award at the end of the season, despite only being at the club for four months. We look forward to working with Joe, and we know that he will add good competition for a regular central defensive spot.’
