1st team pipped in the Semis and Dirty 2s Bring home the Bowl

It was a long hot day at YCK with a good turn out from supporters due in part to the supply of pure blond at the event.

The 1s played well in the pool and were strengthened in the knock out stages by the return of Singapore 7s captain DMC and long time Singapore 7s stalwart Jon Lee. The team was able to string some good play together with some unfortunate last passes not going to hand. Half time was ill all but not for long with Bedok finally getting the last pas away after some solid build up play, and handy change of direction and strong fend from Sam saw him touch down out wide no conversion. Unfortunately the oppo soon hit back with a sneaky try which was converted and the boys were unlucky to go home empty handed.

The 2s had a day of 2 halves with some terrible defense in the first game and poor hands giving the oppo too much ball to play with.

Lessons were learnt and soon the boys were back in form with the Big Fellas providing a solid platform for the more fleet of foot!

The Bowl final was a game which showed what good support play can do with stand out runs from For Ever Young and young Nigel. Special mention has to go to Marcus who seemed to being having a love affair with the oppositions in goal area scoring a multitude of tries!

Final Score 56-0

Where next?
