Steve Farmer and his Hednesford counterpart decided to still go-ahead with the friendly which was arranged before the Trophy draw was made.
"Both of us will blood around 20 players during the game so there is not going to be much learned about the opposition for either manager," said Steve.
Coincidentally, the teams were paired together last season in the Trophy, when the Pitmen ran out 1-0 winners at the Oval.
This season, the first qualifying round tie will be played at the Northern Premier League side's impressive Keys Park Stadium - just a few miles from the A5.
