The award aims to help learners develop leadership skills such as organisation, communication and teamwork, as well as helping to develop confidence and self-esteem.
The award focuses on 8 main areas of leadership - Introduction to sports leadership, Communication for sport, Taking control of a group, Organisational tools, Where to and what next, Safety in sport, Adaptation of simple activities, and Putting it all into practice.
