Ex Ram Simmons signs for Nailers

8 years ago By David Laughlin

Belper Town have today captured the signature of former Derby County attacking midfield player, Paris Simmons.

A former professional player with the Rams, Paris is a player with tremendous vision who likes to play just off the forwards and has a great short burst of pace.

His first team chances at Derby County were restricted by Paul Jewell's massive squad reconstruction following relegation from the Premier League and he had short loan spells at Burton Albion and Lincoln City before returning to Pride Park Stadium.

On leaving Derby County, Paris signed for Eastwood Town where he found his opportunities restricted before deciding to move on to Carlton Town where he enjoyed considerable success.

He followed Millers manager, Tommy Brookbanks to Hucknall in the close season but has opted to join former Carlton Town colleagues Ali Barcherini, Daryll Thomas and Justin Jenkins at Christchurch Meadow
