Belper Town Football club would like to place on record it's appreciation of their recent kit managers, Paul and David Bennett.

Paul and David (pictured) recently decided to call it day at the Marston's Stadium after many years service.

Paul (aka Pistol) started the family line of duty back in the days when Gary Marrow was manager of the club.

But once a personal health problem sidelined Bennett Senior, his son David (more often known as 'Davro') took over the reins.

In what is often an unappreciated but vitally important role, the Bennett boys made sure that the team kit and equipment was always there when needed.

At matches, home and away, and for all training sessions, one or the other of them would be at the ground well before the players arrived, just to ensure that everything would be perfectly prepared.

The management and playing staff also greatly appreciated the contributions made by both of them and there is no doubt that they will be a hard act to follow.

So, thank you Paul and David for your efforts and it's good to know that you will both be continuing to support the Nailers for the other side of the touchline.

If there is anyone out there who would like to take on the role, please contact the club by email at info@belpertownfc.co.uk.
