United still pushing for outside chance of second place

Paul Postlethwaite takes his Belper United side the short journey into Derby for a CML South Match against Mickleover RBL. Adam Moss will return to the squad after suspension, Joe Conkleton returns after work commitments, Scott Slater returns from his holidays. But there will be no Tristan Spencer, Nick Murray and Ryan Wheatcroft who are all still injured.

United have gone 7 games unbeaten and still hold out hopes of a second place finish. An excellent 2-0 away victory on Bank Holiday Monday against Linby CW saw them keep the pressure on Pinxton and Bulwell. Sam Vickers scored from an excellently taken freekick and James Dennis score late on after a goalkeeping blunder.

Mickleover RBL are sitting comfortably in mid table but suffered a 5-2 away defeat against the inform Blidworth Welfare on Monday.

The two sides met at Christchurch Meadow back in September and United ran out 4-1 victors with goals from Jordan Ball, Sam Vickers and Luke Crosby (2).

Paul Postlethwaite says 'I am delighted with the current squad's commitment recently as we have to battle and grind results out lately. We still have an outside chance of second and a Floodlit Cup Semi-Final against Eastwood and a League Cup Semi-Final against Harworth CI or Hucknall Town as well, so we have all to play for and everyone is playing for a shirt.

This set of lads we have had this season have been tremendous to work with and deserve to get something out of this season so we will be giving 100% right to the very end.'
