This season sees Clay Cross move from the the lLeagues North Division where they finished 3rd after challenging for top spot most of the season, to the South Division to provide another strong challenger for promotion. Early results have not been good with losing their opening game at home to Sherwood Colliery 1-2 and then losing 3-2 away at Keyworth in the Ist round of the League Cup in midweek.

Paul Postlethwaite expects to see the return of Joe Conkleton and Shaun Roulston after being unavailable at last weeks 1-0 win at Bulwell. Also Adam Moss should be fit after injury.
Belper are unbeaten so far with 2 draws and a win so this could a very close contest with Clay Cross anxious for their first win.
