Crucial Matches coming thick and fast for United

Paul Postlethwaite will be hoping to welcome back Tristan Spencer and Nick Murray to the squad for a crucial away clash against Pinxton on Saturday.

Belper United fought back admirably in midweek for a 2-2 draw, after playing for 50 minutes with 10 men, against Blidworth thanks to two Sam Vickers goals. On Saturday they had a 5-3 away victory against Real United with Evan Garnett getting a hat-trick and Ryan Wheatcroft a brace.

Pinxton are currently in second place. They had a comfortable victory against Southwell on Saturday but more impressively have beaten Mickleover Royals and Clifton in the two games prior to that.

If United still have ambitions of catching them for the 2nd spot this is a must win game for them. In the match earlier in the season the game finished 1-1 but Pinxton had the better of the game. Jimmy Adcock had given Pinxton a deserved lead but a late Ryan Wheatcroft goal gave United a share of the spoils.

Paul Postlethwaite says 'This is a massive game for the club, we are currently playing well and the commitment showed on Wednesday night proves to me that we still have the fight to push on as far as we can.

We are also involved in two big cup games so we will keep managing the squad as best we can and see where it takes us.'
